Yashasvi Jaiswal, Asitha Fernando sanctioned by ICC for on-field clash during Colombo Test

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sri Lankan pacer Asitha Fernando received sanctions from the ICC. Both players were found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct for inappropriate physical contact. They were each fined 25 percent of their match fees and awarded one demerit point. The incident occurred after Fernando dismissed Jaiswal during the second Test match. India reached 475/8 before rain interrupted play on the second day.
