Todd Blanche, Trump's former personal lawyer, sworn in as attorney general after bruising confirmation fight

Former personal lawyer to US President Donald Trump, Todd Blanche, was sworn in as attorney general on Monday after a narrow 50-49 Senate confirmation. Blanche, who had served as acting attorney general since Pam Bondi’s firing in April, now faces scrutiny over Justice Department politicisation and pressure from Trump.
