Bengal to fast-track CAA citizenship for 2.5 lakh applicants by December 31: Suvendu Adhikari

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced the government will expedite hearings for citizenship under CAA. He stated that 2.5 lakh petitioners will receive citizenship by December 31. Adhikari criticized the previous government for opposing the CAA and neglecting the Matua community. Rs 50 crore has been allocated for the development of the Matua community.
