Good luck, SEC: Auburn awoke a monster in Athens, and Florida pays the price in Georgia's cocktail beatdown

ATLANTA — Florida learned the hard way that it has a long way to go before competing on Georgia's level, I don't care who the Gators have beaten this season.

In other words, welcome to the rivalry, Jon Sumrall.

If you needed further evidence that Georgia remains the best team in the SEC — even after losing to Auburn — look no further than the 24-0 lead the Bulldogs carried into halftime Saturday, which ended with a 27-8 final score in a game in which Georgia had to do very little in the second half.
