From 5% to 30%: Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing targets 6-fold rise in women enrolment by 2028-29

JIM Uncha Majra in Manesar plans to raise female enrolment to 30% by 2028-29 from 5% in 2025-26. It has introduced a 100% tuition fee waiver for women and plans a dedicated hostel to encourage more women to join manufacturing courses. The institute offers nine automotive-linked trades with paid industry training.
