Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman became emotional at an event in Bengaluru. The program honored the 110th birth anniversary of Carnatic vocalist M.S. Subbulakshmi. Subbulakshmi's great-granddaughters performed some of her renowned compositions during the celebration. The minister reflected on Subbulakshmi's dedication and her significant musical legacy. M.S. Subbulakshmi received the Bharat Ratna and performed at the United Nations.
