Wife doesn't have to obey husband at home: 'No need to do household chores or care for in-laws', says Karnataka HC

The Karnataka High Court has said a husband cannot force his wife to perform household chores, care for his parents or seek permission to visit her own parents. The court stressed equality within marriage, said caring for in-laws must remain voluntary and upheld Rs 9,000 monthly maintenance for the wife and daughter.
