Companies may get a consult for nuclear power entry

Department of Atomic Energy is proposing a new consulting subsidiary for NPCIL. This unit will guide private companies entering the nation's nuclear energy sector. It will offer design, engineering, and regulatory support for PHWR units. The SHANTI Act opened nuclear generation to private players last year. This move supports India's goal of 100 GW nuclear capacity by 2047.
