Railway passengers, smoother ticket booking is coming: IRCTC to boost capacity from 37,000 to over 1 lakh per minute

IRCTC is upgrading its ticket-booking infrastructure to improve speed and reliability. The planned changes will significantly increase the platform’s capacity to process bookings. A new disaster recovery system will help minimise disruptions during high-demand periods. The upgrades aim to improve the passenger experience, particularly during peak travel seasons. IRCTC has also recently launched a redesigned beta website with a simpler and cleaner interface.
