High spirits: Onam liquor sales in Kerala cross Rs 700 crore in 8 days

Kerala's state-run Bevco has achieved record liquor sales during the Onam festival. Sales reached Rs 770 crore in the first eight days of the ten-day period. This figure shows an increase compared to the previous year's corresponding sales. On Uthradam day, sales were Rs 126.31 crore, slightly lower than last year. Officials anticipate this year's total sales will surpass last year's impressive performance.
