Two women mistaken for chain snatchers, assaulted by mob in Karnataka market

Two women from Maharashtra were assaulted in Belagavi's Raibag town on suspicion of chain snatching. They were handed over to the police, but no stolen property was found, and no formal complaint was filed. Police later released the women after registering a suo motu case for the assault and commotion.
