New IIP series to track CCTV cameras, stents, vaccines, card products

India's industrial tracking is getting a major upgrade. The new Index of Industrial Production will monitor 120 additional items, including advanced technology and healthcare products. Its base year is shifting to 2022-23, with a release planned for June 1. This revision expands coverage to new sectors like minor minerals and renewable energy.
