ECI once again defers SIR in Tripura ahead of urban civic body polls

The Election Commission of India has revised the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. This revision will now begin on December 15, 2026, and continue through January 25, 2027. Booth Level Officers will conduct house-to-house visits during this period to update the rolls. The draft electoral rolls are set to be published on February 1, 2027, for public claims.
