'Rs 10,000 crore businesses worth at risk': Delhi traders urge Sonia Gandhi to postpone November 1 Ramlila Maidan rally
The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has urged Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi to defer the INDIA bloc's November 1 mega-rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan until after Diwali. The traders' body warned that the expected turnout of 10 lakh people and 15,000-20,000 vehicles could cause severe traffic congestion, disrupting business across 20 major markets during the peak festive shopping season. It has suggested postponing the rally or shifting it to Burari Maidan.
