Cabinet hikes Dearness Allowance by 3% with Rs 10,000 crore allocation; check key announcements

The Union Cabinet approved significant development schemes totaling Rs 29,267 crores aimed at various sectors. This includes a Rs 10,016 crore allocation for Dearness Allowance for Central government employees coinciding with Diwali. Another crucial approval is the Container Manufacturing Promotion Scheme with a funding of Rs 10,000 crores. Additionally, the Khelo India Sports Goods Manufacturing Scheme received an outlay of Rs 1,856 crores for eight years.
