Indian Naval Academy develops two-drone system to locate people in distress at sea and deliver lifebuoys

The Indian Naval Academy has developed a two-drone system for maritime search and rescue, pairing a camera-equipped quadcopter that uses AI to flag people in the water with a hexacopter that delivers lifebuoys. Both UAVs have a 10-km operating radius, while an operator retains control over the final release of rescue equipment.
