Sunil Bharti Mittal to receive France’s highest civilian honour from Macron

Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder of Bharti Airtel, will receive the Légion d’Honneur from Emmanuel Macron. This honor recognizes his contributions to India-France economic ties and telecommunications. Mittal's long-standing relations with France began at Airtel's inception in 1992 with Compagnie Générale des Eaux. He also serves as Co-Chairman of Eutelsat, enhancing collaborations in satellite communications. The award ceremony will take place at the French Embassy in New Delhi.
