Spain captured landfill methane from 700 tonnes of daily waste; the result generated 4.4 million kWh of electricity in one year at Bilbao’s Artigas landfill project

During its first operational year, this facility successfully produced 4.4 million kWh of electricity, which was sold to Iberdrola.
