20 rebel TMC MPs seek more time from Speaker to respond

Rebel Members of Parliament from Trinamool Congress have requested additional time to respond to disqualification petitions. These petitions were filed by Abhishek Banerjee against the MPs who merged with NCPI. The Election Commission of India has frozen the party symbols of both factions of Trinamool Congress. Some NCPI leaders anticipate that the ECI may recognize their faction as the legitimate Trinamool Congress.
