Trump threatens to ‘annihilate’ Iran, says deal will come after US midterms

US President Donald Trump delivered a sharply worded warning to Iran at the UN General Assembly, saying Tehran faces a choice between reaching a deal with Washington and being “annihilated”. At the same time, Trump said he believed the two sides would strike a deal “right after the election”, arguing Iran was waiting to see how Republicans perform in the November midterms.
