No advisory for cops to avoid uniforms outside of stations: Punjab Police

Punjab Police has denied issuing any advisory for personnel to avoid wearing uniforms. A purported advisory circulating online, which suggested wearing civil dress, has been declared fake. Opposition leaders had claimed the police issued such an advisory after a recent murder incident. State police clarified that no such advisory was issued by any official office. Citizens and police are advised to rely only on official channels for information.
