Tamil Nadu expands Kamarajar Breakfast scheme to 15.30 lakh students, costing Rs 217.63 crore
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay launched the expanded Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Breakfast scheme. This initiative will now benefit approximately 15.30 lakh additional students in government schools. The scheme's expansion involves an additional funding of Rs 217.63 crore for the current financial year. Its menu will feature dishes like Uppama, Kitchadi, and Pongal, with millet options. Self-help groups will prepare and serve the breakfast to students in their respective schools.
