No NGT ruling favoured environmental parties in H1 2026: Analysis

An analysis found that the National Green Tribunal did not rule in favour of environmental or public-interest parties in any of their 16 merit appeals during January-June 2026. Industry, project proponents and property owners secured favourable orders in 58.8% of their 51 merit appeals, while 44% of all appeals were dismissed on technical or procedural grounds.
