Meet Gabby Goodwin, the US girl who turned a childhood problem with lost hair barrettes into a patented product and a business that teaches other girls entrepreneurship

Gabby Goodwin’s entrepreneurial journey began when she was 5 years old and repeatedly returned from school without her hair barrettes. After her mother, Rozalynn, shared her frustration on social media, the family’s pastor suggested creating barrettes that would not get lost. Gabby continued asking to begin a science project, and she and her mother eventually developed GaBBY Bows, a double-sided barrette, after failing to find a suitable product. Their efforts grew into a business involving products, patents, and trademarks.
