Psychology says students who never miss their favorite teacher’s class may be motivated by something deeper
Having a favorite teacher is a fairly common experience. Students may naturally connect more strongly with certain teachers because their classroom experiences are influenced by more than the subject being taught. Feeling understood, supported and capable can all shape how students respond to a particular teacher. Research has also consistently found that positive teacher-student relationships are associated with greater student engagement and, in some studies, improved academic performance.
