China buys 1 million tons of US soybeans ahead of Xi visit, sources say

China purchased approximately one million metric tons of US soybeans this week. These purchases occur as President Xi Jinping prepares for his Washington visit. Chinese state stockpiler Sinograin booked these cargoes for future shipment. This buying activity brings China closer to its annual US soybean commitment.
