India, Sri Lanka sign defence pacts to upgrade air defence guns, expand military training

India and Sri Lanka signed agreements to upgrade L70 air defence guns of the Sri Lankan Air Force and expand military exchanges, training and academic cooperation. Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake assured Defence Minister Rajnath Singh that Colombo would not allow its territory to be used against Indian security interests, officials said.
