Adani, NTPC among 7 applicants for Rs 37,500 crore coal gasification scheme

Seven applications were received for India's coal gasification scheme's first round. Adani Enterprises submitted three proposals for urea production, while others applied for different projects. The scheme aims to reduce import dependence and boost domestic coal utilization significantly. It supports achieving 100 million tonnes of coal gasification capacity by 2030.
