Gas, milk, rickshaw ride: Mumbai's cost of living goes up a notch this September

Mumbai and its metropolitan region face higher expenses starting Tuesday. CNG and piped cooking gas prices have risen due to increased international rates. Autorickshaw and taxi fares also saw an increase from September first. Buffalo milk prices have gone up by nine rupees per litre. These changes add to household budgets, especially before the festive season.
