Karnataka auto-rickshaw fare hike: Dakshina Kannada revises rates from September 1, check new fare structure

Effective September 1, auto-rickshaw fares in Dakshina Kannada district have seen a revision. Passengers will now start with a minimum charge of Rs 40 for the first 1.5 kilometers, followed by Rs 20 for each additional kilometer. The RTA has also adjusted waiting and luggage fees. Notably, rides during the nighttime from 10 pm to 5 am will be charged at 1.5 times the regular fare.
