Over 6 crore voters deleted in SIR phase 3; Delhi sees highest cut at 32.7%
Over 6.1 crore voters have been deleted under the Special Intensive Revision so far. Delhi and Maharashtra reported significant cuts in their draft electoral rolls published recently. Delhi saw 47.56 lakh names struck off, marking a high deletion rate. Maharashtra recorded 2.07 crore deletions, the highest number in any state. These deletions were due to absence, shifting, deaths, and duplicate entries.
