A Chennai couple who paid Rs 46 lakh for a flat in 2019 allegedly waited years without receiving possession, while continuing to pay both rent and home-loan EMIs. Wealth manager Kalyan Kumar Biswal said a 2025 consumer court ruling ordered the builder to refund the amount with 19% interest from 2019, taking the total to Rs 1.06 crore, including Rs 60 lakh in interest.
