RRBs' gross loans rise 10.3 pc to Rs 5.78 lakh crore in FY26; PSL achievement at 91.7 pc

Regional Rural Banks saw gross loans rise 10.3 percent to Rs 5,78,349 crore. Their performance under Priority Sector Lending targets remained strong, achieving 91.7 percent. Agriculture and allied activities formed the largest credit component, accounting for 77 percent. MSME lending focused on micro enterprises, supporting rural entrepreneurs and small businesses. RRBs also extended significant credit to weaker sections and inclusive development areas.
