11-year-old Florida boy makes history by reading 100 hours to shelter cats and dogs

11-year-old Nehemiah Turner has become the first child to complete more than 100 volunteer hours in the Jacksonville Humane Society's Pawsitive Reading programme. Since joining in 2024, he has read books aloud to shelter dogs and cats, helping create a calmer environment for animals waiting for adoption.
