Former Bengal Deputy Speaker Asish Banerjee found dead at party office

Former West Bengal MLA Asish Banerjee was found dead in his party office. A suicide note was recovered from the scene by police officials. Banerjee wrote about his political career and alleged mistreatment by his party. He also stated he never engaged in any corruption during his service. His nephew confirmed he was not corrupt and the family will avoid politics.
