Routine California traffic stop leads to seizure of 30 pounds of cocaine worth more than $800K
California authorities seized more than $800,000 worth of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop this week, officials said.
The California Highway Patrol said a Central Division canine officer stopped a 2025 Honda CR-V in Merced County on Aug. 12 for an alleged traffic violation.
During the stop, the officer identified "several indicators of possible criminal activity," according to CHP.
