Russia frees ailing ex-US Marine Robert Gilman from detention

Former U.S. Marine Robert Gilman was freed from Russian custody after President Putin approved his pardon. Gilman, who was jailed since 2022, is now en route to the United States for medical care. He was moved to a civilian hospital in a catatonic-like state before his release. U.S. officials confirmed Gilman was walking and talking on a State Department plane.
