Telecom operators flagged 24.4 billion calls and messages as suspected spam during April-June. AI systems identified 22.9 billion calls and 1.4 billion SMSes as unsolicited communications. Consumer complaints rose significantly, with 10.8 lakh received during the quarter. Most complaints were filed through the Do Not Disturb app.
