Supreme Court seeks data on West Bengal SIR appeals before tribunals

The Supreme Court has directed the Election Commission to provide details on electoral roll appeals. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury filed a plea for expeditious disposal of these cases. The court ordered the establishment of independent appellate tribunals headed by former judges. These tribunals will hear appeals from voters whose names were excluded during the revision.
