West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari announces Rs 10,000 monthly pension for those jailed during Emergency

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced monthly pensions for Emergency prisoners. These 325 individuals will receive Rs 10,000 and free bus travel. Medical assistance of Rs 1,000 is also provided for government hospital treatments. Benefits will extend to spouses if a beneficiary has passed away. The government is fulfilling its commitment within ninety days of assuming office.
