CPI(M) demands withdrawal of order to sing full Vande Mataram at Independence Day celebrations

Pinarayi Vijayan criticized the chief secretary's order for singing the full Vande Mataram. He alleged the state government was surrendering to the RSS agenda. Vijayan stated the full song does not align with secular principles. He noted the Constituent Assembly decided only initial stanzas should be sung.
