Case backlog reduced from past decades, says CJI Surya Kant; praises impact of technology

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant noted the court case backlog has significantly reduced. Technology-driven schemes have yielded very good results for speedy case disposal. He stated that general statements on fake harassment cases cannot be made. The CJI declined to discuss the Collegium's recommendations for judge appointments. This statement was made at a Legal Services Authority conference in Indore.
