Sarvesh Kushare becomes 1st Indian to win silver in CWG men's high jump

Sarvesh Kushare secured a historic silver medal in the men's high jump event. He became the first Indian to achieve this feat, clearing 2.25 meters. Romaine Beckford of Jamaica won the gold medal on countback after both failed at 2.28 meters. Jack Kimani of England claimed the bronze medal with a jump of 2.20 meters. Adarsh Ram finished fifth, while Tejaswin Shankar retired as a precaution for his decathlon event.
