Telecom subscriber base rises to 134.8 crore in June; Airtel leads growth: TRAI data

India's telecom subscriber base reached 134.8 crore in June, showing marginal growth. Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio led subscriber additions, contributing significantly to the increase. Wireless connections rose to 130 crore, with consumer SIMs forming the largest segment. Wireline connections saw a monthly decline, mainly due to BSNL's losses. Broadband subscribers increased to 108.75 crore, with Jio leading the segment.
