Assam Floods: Death toll rises to 61, 14 deaths in last 24 hours

Assam's flood death toll has reached sixty-one after fourteen more people perished. Over seven lakh people are affected across twelve districts, with Sivasagar being the worst hit. Agricultural lands and livestock have also suffered significant losses due to the ongoing deluge. Rescue operations are underway to evacuate marooned individuals to safer locations. The Chief Minister described the situation as serious and anticipates further fatalities.
