Is government launching minimum pension scheme for all citizens? Ministry responds in Parliament

Parliament heard that the government has no minimum pension scheme plans. The Code on Social Security, 2020, aims to extend benefits to unorganized workers. This code also provides for setting up a Social Security Fund. The Employees' Pension Scheme, 2026, is a pooled fund for eligible workers. Unclaimed EPF amounts in inoperative accounts totaled over Rs 9330 crores.
