India to build Phase-II strategic oil reserves at Rs 14,527 cr under PPP model

India plans a second phase for its strategic petroleum reserves. This expansion will add 6.5 million tonnes of crude oil storage. Two new facilities will be established in Odisha and Karnataka. The government is also continuously assessing new sites for reserves. This initiative aims to strengthen national energy security and reduce supply risks.
