In-principle nod to 2 maritime projects, including Rs 1,570 cr ship repair facility in Gujarat

Two strategic maritime projects in Gujarat have received in-principle approval from the shipping ministry. A Rs 1,570-crore ship repair facility will be built at Vadinar in the Gulf of Kutch. This facility will include a new jetty and floating dry docks for large vessels. A greenfield shipbuilding cluster is also planned for Porbandar district, aiming for significant capacity expansion.
