Opposition leaders demand Rs 3,000/quintal price for onions, demonstrate on highway in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal stated the Maha Vikas Aghadi will continue its agitation. Farmers are demanding a guaranteed price of Rs 25-30 per kg for their onion produce. The MVA organized a road blockade on the Pune-Nashik highway. They seek compensation for farmers and procurement of onion stock. Opposition leaders participated in the protest.
