196 days, 23 ports, 7 countries: How this ship tried to sneak in Rs 1,150 cr cocaine using ‘unusually long route’ before being caught at Gujarat port

A massive drug haul near Mundra port has exposed a major maritime trafficking operation. Gujarat ATS and Indian Coast Guard intercepted the cargo vessel MV Europe. They seized 115 kg of cocaine valued at nearly ₹1,150 crore. The vessel undertook a 196-day journey from South America. Investigations are ongoing into a wider smuggling network.
